About Me
I am originally from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and have had a passion for nutrition and health from a young age. I recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Community-Medical Nutrition and Dietetics from Viterbo University, located in La Crosse, WI. I completed my internship hours during my junior and senior years, which allowed me to become a Registered Dietitian soon after graduation. Over the past year, I have worked as a clinical dietitian in the acute care setting, and also provided outpatient pediatric weight management counseling. I enjoy spending free time running, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, and cooking.

Why did I choose the Nutritional Sciences Program at the University of Arizona?
I chose the University of Arizona Nutritional Sciences Program because of the ability to complete two research rotations before choosing a specific research focus. I was also excited about the opportunity to work as a graduate teaching assistant. Once I visited the UA and met with current faculty and students in the program, I knew it was the right place for me.
