Veronica "Ronnie" Mullins

Graduate Student | School of Nutritional Sciences and Wellness

About me
I have spent my career working with athletes and active individuals. I worked as a sports nutrition specialist at Canyon Ranch Resort Spa in Tucson, Arizona; as the team nutritionist in the National Football League for the Arizona Cardinals; and as a member of the Nutrition Division of the Combined Event Athlete Development Project working with male and female U.S.A. Olympic track and field athletes. I am currently an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Department of Nutritional Sciences at the University of Arizona where I teach undergraduate and graduate courses in sports nutrition and food systems.

Why did you choose the Nutritional Sciences Graduate Program at the University of Arizona?
I chose to pursue my PhD in Nutritional Sciences because it will allow me to contribute to the filed of sports nutrition in a new way. I want to be apart of the discovery process and move the field forward. I choose the University of Arizona because of the outstanding faculty and the collaborative and supportive nature of the department as a whole.
